In many parts of Argentina, natural dyes, patterns inspired by nature and the traditions of manual weaving are slowly fading away. Pampa was founded with the desire to protect this woven heritage for the next generation. In the Quechua language, Pampa means ‘plain between the mountains’. All our collections have a deeply rooted sense of place and are named after the landscape where they were made.

In 2013, we launched our first project by partnering with artisan groups in Argentina, travelling back and forth to source one-of-a-kind rugs woven by artisans in their homes. From small beginnings, our range has expanded to include woven throws, cushion covers and accessories handmade by artisans all over Argentina and in other parts of South America. As Pampa continues to grow, we hold on to our core values, ensuring all our homewares are ethically made and fairly traded through direct artisan partnerships. The Pampa team is led by Victoria Aguirre and Carl Wilson, two photographers – one from Argentina, the other from Australia – who share two worlds, two visions and two cultures.
