MAYDE was founded in 2012 by husband and wife team Tim and Sylvia Hill. Living on the Gold Coast with young children in tow, the obvious need for more eco friendly, lighter weight, but still aesthetically pleasing towels, became apparent very quickly. They embarked on a research mission and sourced (and still source) quality towels, throws and beach blankets, predominantly from Turkey (one of the best cotton growing regions in the world). Artisans from the southern Buldan region are employed to produce, often by hand, all our beautiful products.
